    The idea behind BLOOP

    A recommendation from someone you know carries a reason. BLOOP turns those recommendations into a searchable, rankable board and keeps the route someone walked as a trail others can follow.

    How it works

    1. Build your circle. Add people and give each a trust weight from 1 to 5.
    2. Add picks. Save a link with a reason and who vouches for it.
    3. Search and rank. Filter by person, tag and weight; the score is live.
    4. Share a trail. Order links in Trail Maker and export the route.

    Problem

    Results pages fill up with ads, SEO tricks and machine-written pages. Meanwhile the best finds sit in private bookmark folders, and the route someone took to learn a topic disappears once they close the tab.

    BLOOP is a social search product. It ranks results by trust: the links, notes and trails left by people you choose to follow. Every pick carries a name and a reason. Trails keep the route someone walked through the web, so others can follow it.

    Business model

    The core tools stay free. Revenue is planned in two steps: a Plus tier for sync across devices, then Teams plans for research groups. Any sponsored trail is labelled as sponsored, and ranking is never for sale.
